April /May 2009 Joanne Sopt is doing more teaching (literacy, English classes, etc.). She and Steve have taught 4 seminar sessions teaching pastors, church leaders, and business people how to handle finances Biblically. Pastors' conference in Abidjan The pastor of our 2nd church plant is no longer there so Steve is preaching there now. Gayle is teaching the children’s Sunday School. Steve is also working with the youth and enjoys playing soccer with them on Sunday afternoons.  Youth Meeting at the Kings GRADUATION Steve and Emmanuel just finished up their last class at the Bible Institute. At the same time, we had 5 students who have completed three years of Bible School training. This past year they were doing an apprenticeship in their local church. We were active with them in planning the program, meeting together, and visiting them as they ministered. This week graduation took place: Saturday, 5/23/09. It went so well. There were 10 men who finished the 1st year program and 5 who finished the 4th year. Seth Cuthbertson played the guitar and Ruth Marie and Hannah played the keyboard for the students to sing.
